What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll take full ownership of implementing a HACCP system across warehouse operations, leading the process through to successful accreditation. From developing and managing QA and QC systems to establishing SOPs, policies and compliance documentation, you'll ensure robust food safety practices across receiving, storage, handling and distribution. You'll conduct internal audits, liaise with certification bodies, manage external audits, and train staff on best practice standards. This is a strategic opportunity to build and embed food safety systems from the ground up while continuously improving processes in line with regulatory and industry requirements. Where you'll be doing it Our client is a growing importer and distributor of food raw materials, supplying into the broader food manufacturing sector. With a strong focus on operational excellence and compliance, the organisation is investing in robust food safety systems to support its expansion. The culture is entrepreneurial yet quality-driven, offering the opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping standards and strengthening governance within warehouse operations. What you'll need You'll hold a relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management or a related field, along with formal HACCP training and certification. You have proven experience (1 years min) implementing HACCP systems and successfully achieving accreditation, supported by strong knowledge of food safety legislation and warehouse compliance. Experience within food importation and distribution will be advantageous, alongside excellent documentation, auditing, process management, leadership and communication skills.
