About the position
Senior Manager: Flight Operations
Are you a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager in Flight Operations in the aviation industry, based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate? We are on the lookout for you!
What you will do:
- Responsible for conducting audits on all Air Operators, as per Master Surveillance Plan, to establish compliance to the Regulations.
- Develop annual oversight plans and safety promotion plans. Develop and monitor mentoring plans.
- Financial Planning and Control - Develop accurate activity revenue and costing, planning and budgets
- Operational Management - Define the scope of oversight requirements, scope of work, and resources required, schedule work program and control performance.
- Liaison and Policy - Represent the Authority in negotiations and liaise with stakeholders and industry bodies.
- Communications and Safety Promotion - To project a satisfactory image to all stakeholders. To provide industry feedback to the Authority.
- Management of Direct Reports - Manage key performance areas of directly reporting personnel to ensure achievement of their agreed objectives.
What you will need:
- Relevant Degree (NQF 7) OR Airline Transport Pilot Licence OR Equivalent Qualification
- Chief Pilot or Grade II Instructor with 7500hrs of which 200 as PIC
- 5-7 years Management experience
- 10 years relevant Aviation Technical Experience in Flight Operations experience
