About the position

A Flexographic Printer Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses, geared or gearless to produce high-quality printed materials on various substrates like paper, plastic, and film. This role involves tasks such as loading materials, adjusting press settings, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the printed products meet quality standards and customer specifications

Key responsibilities of a Flexographic Press Operator:

• Operating and Maintaining Flexographic Presses:

Setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.

• Preparing the Press:

Loading materials, installing anilox rollers, plates, inks, and dies, and calibrating the press according to job specifications.

• Adjusting Press Settings:

Making necessary adjustments to speed, temperature, ink flow, pressure, and other parameters to achieve desired printing results.

• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving printing issues, such as ink distribution problems, registration issues, and quality defects.

• Quality Control:

Inspecting printed materials for imperfections, ensuring colour accuracy, and verifying that printed products meet quality standards.

• Following Job Orders:

Accurately interpreting job orders, following printing specifications, and maintaining production records.

• Maintaining the Work Area:

Ensuring a clean and safe work area, following safety protocols, and maintaining equipment.

Our client based in Montague Garden is looking to acquire an experienced Flexographic Press Operator in on eof their new sites which will be based in Montague Garden. The successful candidate should possesses the following skills and experience:

Required skills and qualifications:




- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of flexographic printing processes, both geared and gearless, materials, and equipment.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and maintain flexographic presses (Geared and Gearless)
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in setting up and operating the press.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve printing issues.
- Communication and Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety protocols and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required, with additional training or experience in flexography preferred.
