Fixed-Term Contract Role – NDT Technician (X-Ray/Radiographic Level II)
Location: Potchefstroom | Department: Quality | Duration: Contract
We are looking for a dedicated NDT Technician – X-Ray/Radiographic Level II to join our dynamic Quality Department.
In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality support and specialised technical NDT services that directly contribute to achieving our business objectives.
NON-NEGOTIABLE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE:
- A National Diploma in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) Level II certification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in NDT inspections, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- A clear criminal record and a clean bill of health.
- Willing to work on a contract basis and work shifts, AND if not based in Potchefstroom, must be willing to relocate at your own cost for the duration of the contract.
WILL ALSO COUNT HIGHLY IN YOUR FAVOUR IF YOU HAVE: Exposure to and understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Able to perform various types of NDT, Radiograph, Ultrasonic, and liquid Penetrant.
- Ensure effective segregation of any non-conforming products.
- Maintain the facility's inspection database and measurement requirements.
- Ensure best practice techniques are properly and consistently utilized for dimensional inspection activities.
- Conduct measurement capability studies on processes employed.
- Monitor calibration status and maintain systems records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal and company systems requirements and maintain traceability.
- Ensure the final product complies with the X-ray inspection specification.
- Support RDM by taking part in investigations and attending to special requests in terms of NDT inspection.
