What You'll Be Doing

• Build and repair hydraulic cylinders and manifolds using manual lathes and milling machines.
• Take apart broken hydraulic units to find faults and write clear reports for quotes.
• Machine parts to exact sizes to ensure they seal perfectly and handle high fluid pressure.
• Put together and test finished hydraulic systems so they pass safety and pressure checks the first time.
• Work with the design team to suggest ways to make parts last longer based on what you see in the workshop.

Experience & Qualifications

• A recognized Red Seal Fitter and Turner trade test certification.
• Strong, proven daily experience working specifically within the hydraulics industry.
• High skill level in operating manual lathes and milling machines for accurate work.
• The ability to carefully use measuring tools like micrometers, verniers, and bore gauges.
• The physical strength to safely handle mechanical parts weighing up to 25kg while standing for long periods.
