About the position
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and energetic Fitness Coach to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, starting 12 January 2026.
Coaching and Client Support
- Conduct group fitness classes and one-on-one personal training sessions.
- Design and deliver effective workout programs tailored to individual fitness levels and goals.
- Motivate and guide members to achieve their desired fitness results.
- Ensure proper exercise techniques and promote injury prevention.
- Conduct fitness and body assessments, track progress, and provide ongoing feedback.
Administrative Duties
- Manage member sign-ups, renewals, and cancellations.
- Process membership payments and maintain accurate attendance and financial records.
- Record sales of products, services, and memberships.
- Handle communication, sending and responding to emails and messages.
- Maintain gym documentation, reports, and data capturing.
Sales and Marketing
- Promote and sell gym memberships, personal training packages, and wellness products.
- Participate in promotional events, open days, and Wellness days activities.
- Support lead generation and member retention through excellent service delivery.
Operations and Facility Management
- Oversee daily gym operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and organised facility.
- Assist with facial recognition access and handle member enquiries professionally.
- Pack, check, and maintain gym equipment, complete daily equipment checklists.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report any shortages or equipment issues.
- Support smooth class flow and maintain order on the gym floor
Team and Brand Contribution
- Work collaboratively with the Healthi team to uphold the brand’s standards and values.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance member experience and class engagement.
- Uphold Healthi’s core values of wellness, professionalism, and community.
Qualification Required:
- Fitness Instructor/Coach Certification – NQF Level 5 or higher
- 2–3 Years in the Fitness Industry
Additional Requirements
- Passionate about fitness, wellness, and helping others achieve their goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of nutrition and healthy lifestyle coaching is advantageous.
Must be flexible and willing to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required
