As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for managing and administering daily financial operations. Your role includes ensuring accurate costing, management reporting, reconciliations, journals, month-end administration, and timely payments. Utilising SAP and managing a small team consisting of debtors, creditors and general accounting functions, you'll keep the Financial Director informed of all financial matters, facilitating informed decision-making.

You will report to the Financial Director and work closely with multiple departments including Warehouse & Logistics, Contact Centre, Sales and DevOps, you will also liaise externally with key stakeholders such as auditors, SARS, suppliers, and banks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and approving journal entries, as well as reconciling income statement and balance sheet accounts
• Financial reporting duties include compiling monthly management reports, comparing budgeted figures to actual performance annually, and assisting the finance manager with reviewing important functions requiring board approval
• Cost and costing control including drafting costing reports with department heads, identifying recurring costs, and assisting in budget management
• Staff management, creating a positive organizational culture, and conducting HR functions, task delegation, and continuous improvement of reporting standards within the team
• Finalizing annual financial statements, coordinating audit schedules, preparing necessary documentation, and liaising with auditors
• Ensure compliance with statutory financial regulations
• Maintain effective financial systems, controls, and reporting mechanisms

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills, computer literate including ERP systems (ideally with experience on SAP) and excel in problem-solving and decision-making. They must be adept at multi-tasking and organization, with experience in accounting administration, financial management, and cost accounting.
