About the position

Our client based in Centurion is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager who will support the Global Head of Reporting with monthly and annual statutory consolidation and group reporting processes, and in particular the subsidiary financial statement preparation and audit processes around the group.

This role requires a proactive, driven and well organised individual with strong IFRS accounting skills, with experience of managing auditors independently to complete challenging deadlines and overcome issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in completion of all statutory audits and filing of entity accounts in line with statutory deadlines and other local laws and requirements, including independently managing a number of subsidiary financial statements and audits.
  • Preparation of technical papers to ensure compliance with IFRS and other local reporting requirements for all company legal entities.
  • Support monthly reporting close process and preparation of consolidated reporting package in line with published deadlines, including journals and monthly reconciliations as required
  • Support the FP&A, Finance Business Partner and Sales teams in understanding consolidation reports, IFRS and other technical aspects of accounting as required.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and control of all consolidation, audit and reporting processes to achieve best in class quality.
  • This role will work closely with the Financial Control, Tax & Treasury and FP&A teams, other business stakeholders and the group auditors.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm)
  • 3-5 years post qualified experience
  • Good technical accounting skills
  • Working in a financial reporting team
  • Technical accounting skills, particularly in IFRS
  • Independently managing auditors to deliver to deadlines
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Working with finance systems
  • Working within challenging deadlines
