About the Role:
We're looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Financial Project Manager to lead a specialised Reimbursements team. This role blends financial leadership, project management, and data-driven strategy.
You'll oversee an 8-person team, manage the full reimbursement process, and ensure recoveries are accurate, efficient, and continuously improving. Importantly, you'll operate at a senior stakeholder level, engaging confidently with client CFOs and finance executives, presenting insights, financial outcomes, and clear recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate an 8-person reimbursements team.
- Manage workloads effectively to meet SLAs and targets.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Financial Data Analysis & Forecasting:
- Analyse large financial datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build financial models and forecasts to guide cost recovery strategies.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and client CFOs.
Project & Process Management:
- Oversee end-to-end reimbursement case management.
- Ensure compliance with reimbursement rules, policies, and timelines.
- Drive workflow optimisation and automation for greater efficiency.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a trusted partner to CFOs and senior finance leaders.
- Deliver impactful reporting, financial analyses, and board-level presentations.
- Strengthen client relationships through transparency and results.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Financial Project Manager, Finance Lead, or similar.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to forecast, analyse risks, and translate data into action.
- Experienced in managing teams (5+ members).
- Exceptional stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools (Power BI, Looker, etc.).
- (Advantageous) Experience in eCommerce or retail reimbursement processes.
