Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate forecasting activities to support business planning.
• Manage the full accounting function, ensuring compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and executive financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital while optimising debtors, creditors, and inventory.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to support commercial decision-making.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax legislation and financial controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to deliver high performance.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile
Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Manager or in a senior finance leadership role.
• Previous experience within the mining, engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Experience leading finance teams and implementing process improvements.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African financial legislation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, Syspro, or similar.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and management reporting capabilities.
