In fast-moving businesses, finance leadership is what keeps growth sustainable. An established organisation based in Tzaneen is looking for a Financial Manager to take ownership of the finance function and partner closely with leadership to drive performance, strengthen controls, and support strategic decision-making.
This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded finance professional who is comfortable balancing technical accounting, operational finance, and team leadership. You’ll be at the centre of the business, influencing decisions and ensuring financial stability in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full finance function and ensuring financial integrity
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Driving budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Managing cash flow, working capital, and financial planning
- Ensuring compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Strengthening financial controls, systems, and internal processes
- Leading and mentoring the finance team
- Partnering with operational leadership to support commercial decision-making
- Managing year-end processes, audits, and stakeholder reporting
Job Experience and Skills Required
- BCom Accounting / Finance (essential)
- Professional qualification advantageous (CIMA, SAIPA, SAICA articles completed, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance leadership role
- Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
- Experience managing budgets, controls, and operational finance processes
- Strong systems and advanced Excel proficiency
- Exposure to fast-paced operational environments advantageous
