Well established manufacturer based in Wadeville, Germiston requires an experienced Financial Manager. The Financial Manager will oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with South African regulations, optimizing financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making

Qualifications & Experience
- Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA(SA) or CIMA added advantage).
- Completed articles an added advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management within the manufacturing, mining, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, cost & management accounting, inventory management and stakeholder reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (MS Business Central or similar) and intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities :-
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
- Provide financial modelling to support investment and expansion decisions.
- Operational Finance
- Monitor production costs, raw material expenses, and efficiency metrics.
- Partner with operations managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage the finance function (AP-, AR- and Treasury processes).
- Reporting & Compliance
- Manage and control period-end closing procedures.
- Produce accurate monthly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, South African tax laws, and industry regulations.
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Import / export regulations and SARB controls
- Risk Management
- Identify financial risks related to commodity volatility, supply chain disruptions, and market demand.
- Implement controls to safeguard company assets and minimize exposure.
- Implement hedging strategies, forward contracts, or supplier / customer agreements to mitigate exposure.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Build cross-functional collaboration with operations, procurement, and commercial teams.
