Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance / Related
5+ years experience in financial management or senior accounting role
Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will lead financial operations by providing strategic guidance, managing financial performance, ensuring compliance and driving operational excellence in line with business goals.
Authorise and oversee weekly payment runs to suppliers and service providers.
Approve cross-border, intercompany, and high-value payments ensuring risk compliance.
Sign off on BOP forms and ensure compliance with exchange control regulations.
Review and finalise monthly management accounts and performance tracking and commentary.
Present financial results to executive leadership
Oversee and review VAT submissions and ensure compliance with SARS requirements.
Review all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies with department heads.
Liaise with the auditors and manage annual audit process
Collaborate with the CFO on budget preparation, reviews, and forecast adjustments in SAP.
Evaluate monthly results against budgets, flag variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Approve and manage operational expenses, staff loans, and commission calculations.
Review and release monthly payment runs, ensuring proper approvals and cash flow alignment.
Review financial inputs for key customer and partner invoicing
Reconciliation of GP amendments due to deal support and GL determination
Prepare and ensure accurate and timely processing of internal financial journals (e.g., accrued income, sales provisions, interest entries).
Review and approve all payroll processing activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Preparation and processing of payroll journals across regions, verticals and companies
Authorise submission of PAYE, UIF, and SARS tax directives.
Ensure alignment of payroll outputs with monthly financial reporting and budgeting.
Review and authorise staff loan schedules and deductions.
Lead continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools, and ERP system usage.
Partner with cross-functional teams (HR, Sales, Projects) to ensure integrated financial support and analysis.
Manage finance's contribution to company-wide projects, ensuring financial visibility and control.
Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to build strong internal capability and succession planning.
Ensure alignment of team deliverables with organisational strategy and business needs.
Foster a high-performance culture anchored in accountability, accuracy, and integrity.
Represent the finance team in interdepartmental meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
