Job Title: Financial Manager

Job Purpose
The Financial Manager is responsible for managing the organization's financial operations, ensuring compliance with South African legislation, and delivering accurate, insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making. This role requires advanced expertise in financial business modelling, planning, and risk management, as well as strong leadership to optimise financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports in line with IFRS and the Companies Act.
- Drive and manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Develop and maintain advanced financial business models to support decision-making, cost control, and investment
- Ensure compliance with SARS requirements for VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Income
- Oversee cash flow, working capital management, and treasury
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and risk management
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the
- Manage payroll, supplier payments, debtors, and creditors
- Lead and mentor finance team members to achieve departmental
- Act as the key contact for auditors, banks, and regulatory
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Financial Accounting
- Registered Financial Officer designation in South Africa (e.g., SAIBA CFO(SA), SAIPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of financial accounting & management experience, including team
leadership.
- Expertise in financial modelling, scenario planning, and business
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, Companies Act, and South African tax
- Proficiency with financial systems (SAP, Sage, Xero, Pastel, or similar) and advanced MS
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication

- Audit & Compliance: Zero material findings in annual
- Tax Compliance: 100% on-time and accurate SARS
- Cost Management: Meet or exceed agreed cost-reduction and efficiency
- Internal Controls: Implement and review financial controls annually, achieving a strong internal audit score.
- Team Leadership: Maintain high staff engagement and achieve agreed performance
ratings for finance team members.
