About the position
Job Title: Financial Manager Location: Gauteng Reports To: Head of Finance Job Purpose: We seek a highly skilled and multilingual Finance/Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and fluency in Korean, Japanese, or Chinese, enabling effective communication with international stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per IFRS/local GAAP.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
- Support cross-border transactions and reporting with Korean/Japanese/Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
- Collaborate with senior management to support business strategy and growth initiatives.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Honours or postgraduate qualification preferred).
- Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup)
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance or accounting management role.
- Experience in multinational or cross-cultural environments is an advantage.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
