Financial Manager

About the position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to join a dynamic automotive dealership group that values financial expertise as a cornerstone of their business strategy. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations for multiple dealerships and play a key role in driving profitable growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management:

• Direct all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes
• Manage cash flow and working capital effectively
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making

Dealership Financial Operations:

• Oversee dealership-level financial performance analysis and reporting
• Manage vehicle inventory valuation and stock control processes
• Analyze sales performance metrics and provide actionable insights
• Support dealership operations with financial data for optimal decision-making
• Implement cost control measures to improve profit margins

System Management:

• Lead the Evolve accounting system operations and optimization
• Ensure system integration with other dealership management platforms
• Develop custom reports and financial dashboards using Evolve
• Train and support finance team members on Evolve functionality
• Stay current with system updates and implement new features

Team Leadership:

• Manage a team of finance professionals across various functions
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance departmental capabilities
• Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Qualifications:

• Bcom or equivalent financial qualification
• Minimum 3 years of financial management experience in the automotive dealership 
• Extensive hands-on experience with Evolve accounting software advantages
• Proven track record in financial management
• Experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) advantages
