Financial Manager

About the position

A well-established company on the East Rand is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team!
Requirements:

• CA (SA) Qualification is essential
• 4 years’ post-articles experience
• Strong financial aptitude and personality
• Experience working with Pastel

Duties:
Financial Control and Reporting:

• Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts, ensuring precision and adherence to reporting timelines
• Supervise all financial transactions and accounting processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws and internal policies
• Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate with external Auditors

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
• Provide variance analysis and offer actionable recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of operational plans with financial objectives

Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

• Manage and forecast cash flow on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Optimize working capital and maintain banking relationships

Strategic Financial Planning:

• Assist senior management with financial analysis and insights to guide strategic decision-making
• Assess financial performance by comparing actual results with budgets and previous periods

Controls and Compliance:

• Enhance internal controls and processes to mitigate financial risks
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy and compliance

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor the finance team, cultivating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and collaboration
• Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to succeed

Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, banks, SARS and other regulatory authorities
• Regularly engage with executive management to provide financial guidance and support
