About the Position/Overview:
- To oversee and manage the full financial function of the business and to drive day-to-day financial outputs i.e., financial analysis, reporting, monitoring of budgets, profitability and cost controls, pricing, statutory tax functions; as well as playing a pivotal role in design, implementation and managing of the business strategy.
Education and Experience Required:
- Appropriate Tertiary Qualification and relevant experience
- BCom / BA Accounting with CTA / PGDA or Equivalent.
- CA / CIMA - would be an advantage.
- 5 - 10 years of accounting experience (essential).
- 2 plus years management experience (essential) with exposure to commercial and strategic management would be an advantage.
- Experience in coaching and developing teams.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to establish relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to interact with confidence at all levels in the organisation.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of IT and IT related aspects with the aim to optimizeadministration/finance processes and resources.
- Proven track record in leadership roles.
- Effective, goal directed management of subordinates and staff.
- Interpretation and analysis of business information, statistics, trends and ability to provide suggestions and solutions for discussion with the executive team.
- Commercial and strategic support for the executive team.
- ERP system experience - such as SYSPRO would be ideal
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct reporting
- ERP system experience is crucial - ideally working experience on SYSPRO Excel proficiency - management of accounts in Excel
- ERP system integrations
- Managing tight deadline reporting Month end experience
- Work with auditors
- Stock Experience required
- Strong operational experience
- Both, technical financial experience and Operational experience are important and relevant for this role
- ERP management and stock management is crucial
