PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Supporting the Operational Finance Executive with their role of providing oversight over key operational finance business performance and processes, as well as interfacing with business unit financial managers for support and oversight.

Duties & Responsibilities

SUPPORTING THE OPERATIONAL FINANCE EXECUTIVE WITH THE FOLLOWING OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring of adherence to reporting deadlines (including T+13 at Group).
• Balance Sheet reporting.
• Preparation of the PBIT Snapshot and Segmental Reports.
• Integrity of the GL (chart of accounts & GL maintenance).
• Integrity of the SAGE Reports (TB, SEI).
• Co-ordination of Divisional Budgets and PF processes (Board Submission requirements).
• Admin fee allocation.
• Reporting of Consolidated Capex vs. Budget and PF.
• IT Finance Projects.
• Reporting on Consolidated Fixed Assets Recons for ongoing monitoring.
• Monthly depreciation run and locking of Fixed Assets Register.
• Reporting on Consolidated Debtors Age Analysis for ongoing monitoring.
• Maintenance of the Intercompany matrix schedule and Sign-off process of Intercompany Balances ensure that intercompany balances eliminate (including Shareholder loans).
• Providing Regional Financial Managers with the necessary support and guidance regarding reporting processes and deliverables.
• Projects: Integration of new businesses.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Formal Education:

• BCom Degree in Accounting required.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in finance.
  
• At least 2 years in a managerial role.
  
• Strong Excel skills (essential).
• Proven experience engaging with stakeholders across the organization.
• Industry: FMCG preferred, but open to other industries.

Technical Skills:

• Forecasting.
• Compliance & risk management.
• Project management skills.
• Operational finance: Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, tracing issues, managing deadlines.
• IFRS 16 knowledge advantageous, not mandatory.
• ERP systems: SAP | Oracle etc. SAGE is advantageous.
• Business Intelligence (BI) tools: advantageous.
