If building positive relationships, both internally and externally, and driving financial strategies that support growth objectives excite you, we're looking for a Financial Director like you to lead our finance team into the future.

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it):

As Financial Director, you'll oversee all aspects of financial management from accounting processes, cash flow forecasting, and treasury management to financial planning and analysis. You'll be instrumental in developing financial strategies, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, and facilitating project financing for groundbreaking green energy projects. Working closely with the group CEO, your expertise will guide the creation and approval of annual budgets, investment evaluations, and maintain lender relationships, all while ensuring our projects meet local market and legal requirements. You'll also lead a team of two employees.

Where you'll be doing it:

Our client, a pioneer in the green energy sector in South Africa, specializes in optimizing energy consumption and producing renewable energy. With a commitment to sustainable development and innovative solutions, they have established themselves as leaders in energy efficiency and photovoltaic systems. You'll join a team that values collaboration, innovation, and making a tangible impact on the environment and communities. Offices ate based in Sandton, there are semi flexible working hours and after probation, there are two days work from home.

What you'll need:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA/CIMA or equivalent, with profound technical accounting and financial analysis skills. Experience in the green energy sector, ideally with photovoltaic systems, and a solid understanding of financial legal requirements in South Africa are essential. Mastery of financial modelling, coupled with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, will ensure success in this role.
