Our client, a leading Heavy Vehicle / Commercial Vehicle company is looking to appoint a Financial Director to join their team based in Kempton Park.
The main purpose of this role is to establish, maintain and control the general financial function for the division in order to comply with the guidelines given by the business and requirements by International Financial Reporting Standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CA with 5 years' experience or BCom with 15 years' experience in management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing and interpreting financial information
- Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
- Provide business information timeously and in a format that allows for quick accurate decision making
- Analysing change and advising accordingly.
- Formulating strategic and long-term business plans.
- Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance.
- Analysing competitors and market trends.
- Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Overall management of the company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
- First point of contact with liaising with internal and external auditors.
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue.
- Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts to specific deadlines.
- Supervising, training and developing staff.
- Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation. Ensure that the company is compliant.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures in line with Africa Group Policies and Procedures.
