Financial Controller

About the position

A leading group, based in Johannesburg North, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the full finance function across the Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving financial controls, process improvements, compliance, and team performance.

Responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the full finance function across the Group.
• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring accountability and high performance.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes.
• Implement and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Review journals, reconciliations, VAT, and statutory compliance.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury, and accounts payable functions.
• Manage the annual audit process and financial statement preparation.
• Support the Head of Finance with financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Postgraduate qualification
• CA(SA), SAIPA, ACCA or CIMA (preferred)
• 5 years' experience as a Finance Manager
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
• MDA experience will be advantageous
