About the position

The Financial Administrator will ensure the completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger through the timely capturing of supplier invoices, performing reconciliations, and supporting banking and cash management processes. The role also includes limited debtors control responsibilities and adherence to relevant financial and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Reconciliations

  • Validate supplier invoices in line with company and statutory requirements
  • Capture invoices and allocate expenses accurately to the General Ledger
  • Perform bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations
  • Raise debtor invoices

Creditors Administration

  • Maintain and update creditors' master data
  • Ensure suppliers are aligned with procurement policies and procedures

Cash Flow & Banking

  • Assist with funding administration, cash flow and banking processes
  • Ensure sufficient cash availability for payments
  • Capture and verify beneficiary details on banking systems
  • Prepare and release payments in line with approval frameworks
  • Load VAT payments and arrange funding accordingly
  • Manage general online banking administration

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal controls
  • Implement audit recommendations and resolve audit findings timeously
  • Maintain and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Contribute to minimising financial and operational risk

Self-Development & Team Contribution

  • Participate in training and development initiatives
  • Develop and implement a personal development plan
  • Demonstrate strong professional values and contribute positively to team culture

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting Sciences (NQF 6/7)
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar financial administration role (for NQF 6)

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge of MS Excel and financial systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Property/Real Estate (Commercial/Retail)

Desired Work Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years
