DBN000187– Financial Controller – Cape Town
Purpose of the Job:
To lead the hotel’s finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial support to drive business performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Financial Controller in a hotel environment.
- Proven business insight with solid auditing and commercial expertise.
- Proficient in POS and PMS systems, and AccPac or similar accounting software.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Develop annual budgets and strategic plans in collaboration with management and shareholders.
- Oversee year-end financial reporting in line with Group policies.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and head office reports.
- Produce profit, revenue, and board reports.
- Conduct budget forecasts, cash flow analysis, and special financial studies.
- Support the General Manager with commercial, legal, insurance, and capital expenditure decisions.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting systems.
- Maintain compliance with Group financial policies and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and service providers.
