What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation, preparing monthly management accounts, and managing yearly and monthly budgets. You'll handle SARS returns, assist with payroll when needed, and maintain project budgets to ensure financial stability. Your role will include managing policies and procedures for purchase orders, invoicing, and bank payments while also reporting to directors on cash flow projections. You'll work closely with project managers in weekly meetings to analyse financial risks and identify potential challenges. Additionally, you'll work closely with the Accountant and Creditors Clerk and host weekly project meetings with administrative and technical teams. Where you'll be doing it You'll be joining a stable and well established company that specialises in high-end design, construction, and project management. With a reputation for delivering bespoke, quality-driven solutions, they are known for their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Their offices are based in Ottery, their working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and ending at 14:30 on Friday's. You'll join a team of 30 employees. What you'll need The ideal candidate will have a relevant financial tertiary 3 year qualification, such as a BCom in Accounting or Finance but we will consider a candidate with a Matric should they have in excess of 7 years relevant experience. You will need to have at least 5 years' experience in financial accounting (including management accounts), budgeting, reporting, and compliance. A solid understanding of tax regulations, financial policies, and procedures is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills are required to collaborate with various teams and provide strategic financial insights. Would be a preference for someone that has engineering / manufacturing type industry experience as well as someone that has some project finance experience.
