Financial Controller

About the position

Exciting career opportunity within a manufacturing company for a Financial Controller to maintain the financial records
Minimum Requirements:

• Matric & Diploma/ Degree in Accounting
• 5 years' relevant accounting experience (bookkeeping and financial statements)
• Bookkeeping up to Balance Sheet
• Proficient on MS Office Suite & other accounting software packages

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivables: Full credit control function (debt collection, Customer vetting and legal notices)
• Accounts Payables: Suppliers recons, credit notes, Supplier payments and reporting
• Cashbook management: Maintain the cash book and reconcile bank accounts daily to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Bank balances management and payment on approval
• Monitor and control the flow of cash receipts and payments according to the approved cash flow
• Perform SARS returns, including VAT201 and EMP201, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Manage intercompany loan accounts, maintaining accurate records and facilitating transactions as needed
• Assist & prepare for company Auditors for annual financials
• Prepare financial reports that summarize and forecast the organization's financial position, such as income statements, balance sheets
• Run month end recons and selected MIS for the ED
• Ensure all Vendors invoices and purchases align with company’s procurement policies and procedures
• Work closely with Department Heads and Procurement staff to ensure that purchase orders and invoices are properly approved, coded and paid
• Process local procurement orders
