About the position
Responsible for both financial andmanagement accounting and reporting functions to ensure accurate, timely andinsightful reporting that supports strategic decision-making. Bridges the gap between statutory reporting and internal performance analysis. Ensure that all financial and management reporting deadlines are met and support audit and taxprocesses.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Support tax reporting and filing requirements.
- Maintain and improve financial reporting systems, processes, and controls.
- Supervise and mentor the financial accounting team.
- Coordinate audit activities and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare board-level reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, reporting standards and accuracy of financial data.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Develop and enhance reporting frameworks for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Management Reporting:
- Prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, including labour, materials, and overheads.
- Develop standard costing models and ensure alignment with actual production costs.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuations and reconcile stock accounts.
Business Analysis:
- Gather and document business requirements from internal stakeholders.
- Analyse current business processes and identify areas for optimization.
- Provide analysis to support investment decisions and capital expenditure.
- Work closely with various departments to gather and consolidate financial data.
- Understand and improve cost drivers and to align financial and operational metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification required (CA, ACCA, CIMA).
- 3+ years of experience in financial and/or management accounting roles.
