About the position
Umhlanga - An established independent brokerage in the heart of Umhlanga is seeking a Financial Advisor Administrator / Personal Assistant. This role supports a Financial Advisor with administrative functions and provides weekly reporting to the General Manager.
Our client is an independent financial services provider offering tailored advisory and insurance solutions to a professional client base. With a strong focus on client service, compliance, and operational accuracy, they maintain a structured and professional working environment.
This role provides dedicated administrative support to a Financial Advisor and is responsible for ensuring that all client documentation, reporting, and compliance tasks are completed accurately and on time. The successful candidate will submit weekly reports to the General Manager and assist with general office coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Financial Advisor on all client-related matters
- Maintain and update client files, SLA records, and compliance documentation
- Submit accurate weekly reports to the General Manager
- Compile reports, manage data, and file all documents systematically
- Answer and direct calls promptly, ensuring accurate message-taking
- Open and archive client files in line with due diligence and compliance requirements
- Ensure policy documentation is issued and copies sent to clients
- Assist clients with claims processing and ensure correct submission to providers
- Maintain registers for claims, queries, and broker reporting
- Assist in meeting monthly reporting and broker target requirements
- Ensure adherence to POPI, FICA, and FAIS in all administrative practices
- Liaise with consultants, providers, and clients to resolve queries
- Request statements and tax certificates when required
- Maintain updated e-filing and document storage systems
- Full Broker support from start to finish (quotations, applications, claims etc.)
- Support and finalize all client queries timeously and with urgency at all times

Requirements
- Minimum Matric
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a personal assistant or administrative role
- Previous experience in insurance or financial services
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite
Remuneration
R13 000 – R18 000 Cost to Company (Highly dependent on Experience)
