Financial Administrator - OTC Trade Desk (Sandton/Cape Town) at TD Markets

The Financial Administrator - OTC Trade Desk is responsible for managing financial operations, trade settlements, reconciliations, and compliance for Over-the-Counter (OTC) cryptocurrency trades. This role ensures smooth trade execution, accurate financial reporting, and regulatory adherence while supporting the OTC trading team in high-volume transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Trade Operations & Administration

• Assist in processing, tracking, and reconciling large crypto transactions.

• Ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades with counterparties.
• Verify trade confirmations and maintain up-to-date records.

• Liaise with traders, counterparties, and liquidity providers to ensure seamless execution.

• Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly trade reconciliations to match internal records with external counterparties.

• Prepare trade profit and loss (P&L) statements.
• Management of asset balances in fiat and crypto across multiple wallets and bank accounts.

• Assist in generating financial reports.

• Risk Management & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies.

• Monitor and report suspicious transactions in line with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

• Work with the legal and compliance team to ensure adherence to all regulations including FATF Travel Rule.

• Client & Counterparty Relations

• Coordinate with institutional clients, brokers, and counterparties to facilitate smooth trade execution.

• Assist in administrative processes as part of client onboarding.

Required Skills & Experience:

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CFA, ACCA, CIMA) is a [URL Removed]
• 2-5 years of experience in financial administration, trading operations, or cryptocurrency trading or transacting.
• Experience in crypto, foreign exchange, or traditional finance is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of crypto OTC trading processes and financial settlements.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial reconciliation tools, and crypto wallets.
• Experience with blockchain analytics tools.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Location: Sandton/ Cape Town
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (07:00 - 19:00)
