About the position
Job Summary We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Financial Administrator with strong experience in General Ledger and Creditors to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger records, managing the full creditors function, performing reconciliations, and ensuring financial compliance. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong reconciliation skills, and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities General Ledger Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger on a monthly basis Process and review journal entries Ensure accurate allocation of expenses and revenue Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare supporting schedules for audits Investigate and resolve ledger discrepancies Creditors Responsibilities Manage the full creditors/accounts payable function Capture and process supplier invoices accurately Perform supplier reconciliations Prepare payment runs and ensure timely payments Resolve supplier queries professionally and efficiently Maintain accurate creditor records and aging reports Additional Duties Assist with financial reporting Support budgeting processes Ensure compliance with internal financial controls Assist with audit preparation Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric) Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 3-5 years' experience in a finance role with strong exposure to: General Ledger management Creditors / Accounts Payable Strong reconciliation skills Advanced MS Excel skills Experience working on accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Pastel, SAP, or similar) Key Competencies Strong numerical and analytical ability High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to meet strict deadlines Strong organisational skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently
