Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

About the position

Our manufacturing client is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. This role reports directly to the Financial Manager. 

If you have financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, a good financial understanding of transactional processing across all Syspro modules, and a high proficiency in Excel, apply today!
Key Responsibilities:

• Compile, analyse, and report monthly costs and management account statuses.
• Produce monthly management accounts on time, including variance analysis and accompanying notes.
• Ensure all sub-ledgers are accurate and up to date.
• Produce monthly key account analysis schedules.
• Prepare budgets and analysis of actual vs budget monthly.
• Improve efficiency, context and extent of financial reporting.
• Prepare schedules/reports as auditors request and attend to all audit queries.
• Identify areas for improvement of processes.
• Complete and review key account monthly reconciliations and resolve queries.
• Review and implement accounting/financial controls where necessary.
• Regularly review the trial balance with subsidiary ledgers and bank statements to ensure consistency across records. Consider and process the month-end journals/adjustments where necessary.
• Consider all financial processes and controls within the office and constantly improve efficiency, reporting and controls.
• Assist with feasibility and costings.
• Updating the Distributor price list and ensuring the information is correct on the Portal and Syspro.
• Checking of weekly and monthly supplier payments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Financial Degree
• 4-5 Years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Syspro and Excel
