A well-established group operating within the manufacturing, construction, and industrial sectors is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Centurion. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and working within a dynamic group environment.

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the group. Working closely with management, you will support reporting, compliance, audits, and financial controls while contributing to the overall success of the business.

This role offers exposure to a multi-entity environment and will require occasional travel to various operations, providing valuable business and operational insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Managing month-end and year-end reporting processes
  • Reviewing and processing journals, accruals, and provisions
  • Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining general ledger integrity across multiple entities
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Assisting with audit preparation and audit queries
  • Supporting tax and statutory compliance requirements
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and financial governance
  • Supporting reporting requirements across multiple entities
  • Assisting with intercompany reconciliations and transactions
  • Contributing to group reporting and consolidation processes
  • Providing financial analysis and reporting support to management
  • Assisting with process improvements and reporting efficiencies
  • Supporting operational stakeholders with financial information
  • Travelling to various sites and business units when required
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within finance

Job Experience and Skills Required

  • BCom Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years' Financial Accounting experience
  • Strong technical accounting ability
  • Experience within manufacturing, construction, industrial, or group environments highly advantageous
  • Exposure to multi-entity reporting beneficial
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Experience on Pastel, Sage 300, or similar ERP systems
  • Exposure to Sage X3 highly advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills
