About the position
Well known logistics and transport company requires an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team in Umhlanga Durban.
B Com Degree in finance / accounting is essential
Honours qualification would be an advantage
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience is required at this level
Individuals must live within close proximity of Umhlanga, Durban
Must have financial working experience within the Logistics / Transport / Shipping industry
Able to prepare and analysis reports, prepare and present management / board pack, company overall compliance
Accounts Receivable (Full Function)
Accounts Payable (Full Function)
Monthly Management Reports and Analysis
Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
Preparation & Presentation of Management Accounts
Payroll Function- (Review Payroll Analysis, Review & Process Journals)
Preparations of VAT Recons & Submission of VAT Returns
Fixed Assets Register Management
Bank Account Management (Cashbook Review, Loading & Releasing Transactions)
Prepare Audit Files & liaise with Auditors
Budgeting and Cost Management
Monthly Variance Analysis
Budget vs Actuals
Investigate and recommend financial matters affecting the business
General administration Duties (drafting Agreements)
