About the position
JOB TITLE: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Purpose:
To support the processing & support functions within the group.
Processing of journals for the group.
Controlling all GL Accounts including the analysis of trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations
Reports organisation's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
GL Account reconciliations submission
Monthly journal processing
Assistance with year end and interim tasks
Annual financial statements
Timely submission of queries
Feedback on group financial controller
Debtors and Audit Committee Reporting
Bank reconciliations
Payment allocations
Follow up on open items and clearing
Intercompany invoices, journals, STO's and related processes
Monthly global ans SAP tier 2 Africa royalty journals and invoicing processing
SAP Tier 2 Africa - Intercompany account reconciliations, invoicing and journals
Export sundry debtors account clearing
Build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders
Assist business with account related queries , month end process journals
Performance score card
Drive continuous improvement n area of responsibility
Improve effectiveness of tasks
Education and Experience:
Recognised post secondary accounting qualification
Accreditation to a professional body will be advantageous
At least 3-5 years relevant work experience (FMCG will be advantageous)
Demonstrated skills:
Fully computer literate in SAP and MS Office - Advanced Excel Skills
