Minimum requirements:
- Accounting Degree or Diploma – preferably SAIPA.
- 2-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting position.
- Advanced Excel skills are critical, with a willingness to learn very quickly in this area.
- Knowledge of Pastel will be an advantage.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a flexible schedule.

- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills.
- Proactive and able to engage with the Finance Manager regarding the review of income and balance sheet accounts.
- Highly detail-oriented, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Processing of monthly sales, purchases, stock write-offs, coupons, and other relevant data from the point-of-sale system to the accounting system.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review of income statement accounts.
- Processing of local and international ad-hoc payments as required.
- Preparation and balancing of any intercompany loan balances before monthly management review meetings.
- Preparing retail VAT submissions every month.
- Engaging with the retail finance manager regarding the review of income and balance sheet accounts.
- Managing retail petty cash reconciliation.
