About the position
Job Title: Financial Accountant - Mining
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Accountant to join their mining company in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting within the mining sector and possess excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
- Perform financial analysis and reporting on key performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards
- Monitor and review budgetary performance
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably within the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in financial analysis software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
