About the position

Our client is a recycling company whose main objective is to reduce waste that is sent to landfills. The company is looking for a seasoned accountant to join this family-oriented business.
This position requires a deadline-driven individual who pays special attention to detail. An accomplished accountant who has good financial regulation knowledge and a strong work ethic will fit into this business seamlessly.

Duties and responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Full-function accounting
  • Journal and transaction processing
  • Cashflow management
  • Daily forecasting
  • Preparing budgets
  • Preparing income statements and balance sheet reconciliations
  • VAT controls, including calculations, journal preparation, and submission of VAT

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • BCom Accounting or similar
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel skills

Package and remuneration:
R30 000 to R40 000 cost to company per month
