Finance Officer: Creditors at NRF National Research Foundation

About the position

Postion Summary:
iThemba LABS seeks to appoint a Finance Officer: Creditors who will report to the Finance Manager within the Finance and Supply Chain Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Accounts Payable
• Processing of supplier invoices on D365
• Reconcile all suppliers' invoices to monthly (supplier) statements prior to preparation of a payment approval form for those suppliers (creditors);Follow up with suppliers and BU's invoices outstanding for over 30 days
• Maintain and update allocated suppliers accounts by reviewing suppliers' age analysis
• Maintain updated vendor information on D365 by doing roll downs from the CSD portal for service providers responsible for
• Administer day-to-day finances and assist with queries
• Administer payment of bills, invoices and staff and volunteer expense claimsEnsure financial controls are adhered toAssist in preparation of year-end processes and auditUndertake any other duties as requested by the Finance Manager

Minimum Qualification:

• Diploma / Advanced Certificate / NQF 6

Minimum Experience:

• 3-3 years

• National Diploma (NQF 6) in Accounting

Experience:

• 3 years' experience in a finance department with specific experience in financial accounting/business management/operations

Knowledge:

• Practical knowledge of financial reconciliations, accounting systems (e
