Finance Manager - Manufacturing

This role is responsible for overseeing the full financial function, with an emphasis on cost accounting and financial controls. The Finance Manager will lead a team, streamline financial operations, and provide key insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all finance-related processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the finance team to ensure optimal performance
• Oversee full financial accounting functions including month-end and year-end processes
• Drive cost accounting and analysis to support operational and pricing decisions
• Monitor and control budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management
• Prepare financial reports and provide commentary for management and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies
• Manage audits and liaise with auditors and external stakeholders
• Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations
• Support production and operations teams with cost tracking and margin analysis
• Manage fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Oversee inventory valuation and stock control processes
• Monitor financial KPIs and ensure timely reporting
• Work closely with senior leadership on financial planning and business strategy
• Ensure ERP and financial systems are effectively utilised and maintained
• Provide financial insights to support capital investment and project evaluations

Requirements

• BCom in Accounting or equivalent (CIMA/CA(SA) preferred)
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in cost accounting and financial management
• Strong ERP and Excel skills
• Experience in leading a finance team

Remuneration
R80 000 – R100 000 CTC
