About the position
Finance ManagerHire Resolve is seeking a seasoned, hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the complete financial operations of a multi-business manufacturing and laboratory supplies group based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This full-time, office-based role requires an experienced financial professional with a strong track record in managing complex group structures, substantial annual turnovers, and intricate manufacturing accounting environments.
Key Performance Areas:
- Financial Governance & Group Accounting: Direct the full financial function across multiple business entities, managing complex group allocations, consolidations, and financial reporting.
- Manufacturing Cost & Operational Accounting: Oversee manufacturing financial complexity, cost accounting, inventory valuation, bill of materials (BOM), and variance analysis.
- Strategic Financial Analysis: Evaluate high-turnover financial performance, manage cash flow across entities, and navigate unique, non-routine business scenarios.
- Compliance, Tax & Audit Management: Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, SARS requirements, internal financial controls, and lead external audit processes through to final sign-off.
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic oversight to the finance department and collaborate directly with senior management on operational growth and risk mitigation.
Minimum Requirements:- Education: BCom Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or equivalent (CA(SA) or CIMA is highly advantageous).
- Experience: Extensive career background with at least 20 years’ hands-on financial management experience.
- Industry Exposure: Proven exposure to manufacturing accounting complexity and handling multi-business entity structures with large annual turnovers.
- Working Style: Highly resilient, self-directed leader comfortable managing out-of-the-ordinary operational challenges and complex corporate setups.
- Work Arrangement: Strictly office-based, full-time role in Durban (no remote, hybrid, or part-time options).
Position Details:- Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal — Onsite / Office-based.
- Type: Full-time, Permanent.
- Remuneration: R50,000 CTC per month (R600,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience).
