About the position
Job Purpose:
To oversee the financial health of the company by managing accounting functions, financial planning, budgeting, regulatory reporting, and risk management to ensure compliance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare and present financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other applicable financial regulations
Manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timelines
Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action
Budgeting & Forecasting
Develop and oversee the company's financial planning and budgeting process
Monitor actual performance against budget and provide insights to management
Conduct financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations (e.g., IFRS 17 etc.)
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Manage financial risks, including investment risk, credit risk and operational risk.
Treasury & Investment Management
Oversee cash flow management to ensure liquidity and solvency
Optimize capital allocation and investment strategies in alignment with company goals
Manage relationships with banks, investment partners, and other financial institutio
