About the position
DBN000062 – Finance Manager - Durban
Purpose of the Job:
To oversee & manage the finance team & cultivate a favourable atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- CA(SA) or BCom + Articles plus 7 years’ experience
- IT literate (will need to manage a unique bespoke finance system)
- 4 years or more experience in a Senior Finance position
- Wholesale & Distribution Industry (with export/import) experience a must
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Oversee the finance department, which includes budgetary control & financial accounting.
- Head office and business unit reporting (monthly/year-end)
- Management of Tax, VAT, and EMP 201 and 501
- Payout validation, bank management, cash flow planning & foreign transactions, forward covers & Exco management
- Manage the department of major debtors & address credit issues.
- Integrity of data, reports, history & financial systems Internal controls inside the business unit
- Lead the financial team with three to four direct reporting.
- Completing Internal audits, insurance values & budgets
- Create a variety of monthly financial reports for communication both upstream & downstream.
- Update and keeping track of documents pertaining to finances.
- Make sure that all company policies, financial practices & regulations are followed.
