About the position
About the position:
The main focus in this role is to maintain the centralized accounting records for its Cape Town (Head Office), Durban & Gauteng operations (covering a team of 60 staff members nationally).
Responsibilities:
- Process Sales invoicing from Broker files (10-15 brokers) on a daily basis
- Follow up on outstanding debtors
- Processing of all suppliers invoicing & reconciliations monthly
- Checking and loading of monthly creditors
- Reconcile Bank & petty cash accounts monthly
- Check commission input sheet and month end payrolls
- Prepare Tax (VAT, PAYE) for payment
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Managing and liaising with company auditors
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
- Experience with a Pastel/Sage & payroll system
- Setting cash flow forecasts, budgets and compiling accounts for year -end audit
- The role will include oversight and management of the Finance Administrator
- Management and oversight of FIC / FICA functions
- Would be responsible for all the company’s handful of entities
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Matric with financial qualification (i.e. 3-year National Diploma/Degree, SAIPA, PA)
Requirements:
- Current accounting software is Sage Pastel Partner & Pastel payroll. Would need to know this system or another of a similar calibre
- Experience working with MDA (property management system) would be advantageous.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience of taking books to Trial Balance and Balance Sheet stage
