About the position
ENVIRONMENT:
Our Client is looking for a highly competent and driven individual to join their Finance Team. This individual will work closely with the Finance Executive and Finance team in all facets of the finance function. An ideal opportunity for a qualified individual with a few years of relevant experience who is looking for the next opportunity to grow their career.
DUTIES:
Financial Reporting & Operations
• Oversee full-cycle finance operations, including month-end close, journal reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage budget preparation, quarterly forecasting, and departmental expenditure reporting.
• Prepare financial inputs for board and sub-committee packs to support executive decision-making.
• Maintain robust internal controls and oversee system management (Accounting, Payroll, CRM).
• Coordinate customer and supplier onboarding, credit vetting, and risk management.
Treasury & Compliance
• Manage cash flow and treasury management, including weekly payment runs and foreign exchange management.
• Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance (SARS, CIPC, ICASA, Companies Act, DoL) including all tax submissions.
• Manage annual audit processes, including IFRS-compliant financial statements and consolidation.
• Maintain statutory records, including share registers, resolutions, and minutes.
Strategic & Commercial Support
• Lead group-level accounting, including mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
• Support commercial contracting, negotiation, and annual price adjustments.
• Drive automation and systems enhancement projects to improve finance efficiency.
Leadership & Development
• Manage the finance team, including recruitment, resource allocation, performance levels, performance management and career development.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing and high performance.
• Promote teams ongoing advancement in digital literacy and information security.
• Proactively remain abreast of industry and financial knowledge
• Self-study and research in order to develop both technical and soft skills
• Actively knowledge share with colleagues and sub-ordinates
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Experience:
• Completed Articles essential
• Minimum Honours / CA(SA) essential
• Minimum 3 to 5 years post-graduate experience essential
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Accounting & CRM systems experience
• Drivers licence and own transport
