About the position
Position Title: Financial Manager
Reporting To: Head of Finance
Department: Finance & Support
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective financial management and administrative operations of our leading local FMCG company with a national footprint. They will be responsible for providing financial and administrative services while adhering to best practices and regulatory standards. The incumbent must possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, coupled with excellent communication and analytical skills.
MINIMUM DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with company and local accounting and financial regulations.
- Compile, analyze, and report financial data accurately.
- Prepare periodic financial reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Present financial data to managers effectively.
- Maintain precise financial records.
- Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Compute taxes and ensure timely filing.
- Stay updated on current legislation related to finance and accounting.
- Assist management in decision-making processes by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
