About the position
Management of Finance Functions
- To manage the finance function by developing and implementing appropriate systems within the organization, including internal
- auditing processes and any other procedure in line with the overall company policies.
- Ensuring adequate housekeeping (GRN /PO/ Leave approval clearing).
- Identifies areas for improvement in efficiency and makes recommendations to Top Management.
- To manage and control the following functions within the finance department: Costing / Production Capture Officer, Reception,
- Creditor's clerk, Cash office clerk, Financial Administrator, and Driver.
- Approve all POs checking that all prices are in line with Budgeted guidelines - procurement/planning
Financial Planning
- To establish budget procedures and parameters and to provide guidance and advice during the budgeting process. Collate
- departmental budgets and assist in the preparation of the draft and final budget inputs for Head Office.
- Collate departmental quarterly forecast and assist in the preparation of the draft and final forecast inputs for Head Office.
- Control financial feasibility studies and cost analysis for new proposals, projects, and infrastructure
Financial Reporting
- Accurate preparation of monthly and weekly flash reports and analysis for submission to General Manager, Divisional FM and
- Divisional Director.
- Draft monthly flash reports and submit them by the 3rd working day of the next month to the General Manager, Divisional FM and
- Divisional Director.
- Compile detailed analysis of monthly results and feedback thereof to General Manager, Divisional FM, and Divisional Director
Audits
- Conduct internal audits within the Company according to the relevant statutory requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Manage and maintain an exceptional relationship with external audits.
CAPEX and Fixed Asset Management
- Responsible for the preparation of all CAPEX authorizations including payback periods.
- Review of fixed asset register and identify any assets for impairment.
- Responsible for the full management and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
Costing/Inventory
- Prepare new and reformed product costing for Head Office and Factory.
- Review cost variance and provide feedback to General Manager and Divisional Director.
- Ensure stock counts are done in accordance with policy and ensure all variances are reported accurately.
- Establish a sound control environment, in accordance with group policy/departmental addendums
People Management
- Provide leadership to the team, defining objectives to be achieved by the department.
- Manage the working environment and ensure it contributes to improving staff morale and increasing productivity.

- Deploy people management processes - workforce planning, recruitment & selection, learning and development, performance
- management, career and succession planning, and employee relations etc. effectively, in line with organisational policies, procedures

Qualifications/Knowledge required for the position:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma and /or NQF level 7 Accounting or Financial Management or equivalent
- Up to (4-5) years of experience preferably within the FMCG or plant environment
- Knowledge of Finances and Audit
