Our client is a major player in the security and defence sector, based in Durban, operating in a fast-moving, high-responsibility environment where precision, strategy and leadership are mission-critical. They’re looking for a commercially sharp Finance Executive to partner with leadership at the highest level, driving financial strategy, supporting acquisitions, managing risk and ensuring that the business remains financially resilient while scaling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the group’s financial strategy and performance objectives
• Drive M&A activity, including acquisition support and integration processes
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and financial risk across the business
• Translate financial data into actionable commercial insights and strategic decisions
• Oversee financial reporting, controls and governance frameworks
• Strengthen risk management practices and operational efficiencies
• Lead and develop finance teams while partnering with key stakeholders across the business

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Qualified CA(SA)
• 5+ years’ post-audit experience
• Proven financial leadership and strategic decision-making capability
• Experience in a decentralised holding company or similar environment
• Strong understanding of acquisition strategies and integration processes
• Proven success in managing cash flow and financial risk
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn numbers into strategy
• Exposure to annuity revenue models advantageous, but not essential
