About the position

Position Overview

A Finance Consultant plays a critical role in managing and overseeing financial processes within an organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing complex financial data and transactions. The consultant will work closely with customers, internal teams, and statutory bodies to ensure financial operations are efficient and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices promptly and accurately.
• Receipt payments in a timely manner.
• Issue customer statements and manage customer accounts effectively.
• Liaise with customer finance teams to address and resolve queries.
• File and organize financial documentation systematically.
• Assist in filing statutory returns with SARS/UIF, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budget forecasts to support organizational planning.
• Generate detailed financial management reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Reconcile financial transactions to maintain accuracy and integrity of records.
• Track individual project finances, ensuring budgets and expenditures are aligned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial management or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The Finance Consultant will typically work in an office setting and collaborate with various teams. This role may involve occasional travel to meet with clients or attend training sessions.
