FINANCE CLERK SUPERVISOR

About the position

An exciting opportunity is available for a suitably qualified and experienced Finance Clerk Supervisor (12 months contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Process remunerative allowances, salary deductions and employee payments accurately and on time
• Administer travel and subsistence claims and advances on BAS and PERSAL
• Reconcile and clear account balances in line with Treasury Regulations
• Process transfer and miscellaneous payments efficiently
• Verify supplier banking details on the relevant systems
• Maintain accurate filing and record keeping of salary and financial reports
• Assist with project funding assessments and reporting for financial statements

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a financial environment plus Degree in Finance or equivalent
• Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, PFMA and Treasury Regulations
• Sound understanding of PERSAL and BAS systems
• Knowledge of accounting policies, procedures and relevant legislation
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
• Computer literacy and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently and within a team
