About the position

A temporary opportunity is available for a Finance Clerk to provide financial administration and support services (12 Months Contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify supplier invoices for correctness
  • Record invoices accurately on spreadsheets and internal systems
  • Assist with BAS Payment Advice processes and ensure supporting documents are properly signed off
  • Capture payments on LOGIS and LOGIS portal integration systems
  • Generate payment reports and maintain proper financial records
  • Update accruals and payables reports to ensure all invoices are processed and paid
  • Compile monthly supplier reconciliations
  • Handle payment related queries from end users and service providers
  • Maintain an effective filing system and ensure records are easily accessible
  • Draft standard letters, memos and submissions when required

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate or relevant equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4 plus 1 year working experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of LOGIS and BAS systems will be advantageous
  • Understanding of SCM processes and procedures
  • Basic accounting and numerical skills
  • Computer literacy and strong administrative skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well within diverse teams
